Originally from Northern New South Wales and now a local west Brisbanite, Tom Harris is our resident Men’s Health physio and unfortunately, an avid Blues supporter. Tom is highly passionate about helping men improve their everyday life and return to fitness. Early in his physiotherapy career, Tom invested his time learning from some of the leaders in Men’s Health, attending lectures and seminars, constantly involving himself in the Men’s Health Physiotherapy scene. Tom has spoken at numerous events; from local Men’s Sheds and Prostate Support Groups to recently presenting at the Australian Physiotherapy National Conference on the importance of Physiotherapy in Men’s Health Conditions.
Tom’s passion for fitness stemmed from his youth as a competitive hockey player, having represented New South Wales on a number of occasions. He has developed a love of running, attending the odd Mountain Goat Mt Cootha run on occasion and having completed half, full and ultra marathons.
Since joining the team in 2014, Tom has been involved in the upkeep of athletes at the Moggill Football Club and more currently, the Kenmore Bears AFL Club. Tom has also completed his Level 1 Accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach and Dry Needling Certification. Tom enjoys rehabbing people of all ages, helping them out of pain and returning them to their activity or sport of choice. Currently, Tom is studying his Graduate Certificate in Exercise Medicine (Oncology).
In 2019, Tom and wife, Louise, welcomed their second child, Maggie, a little sister for big brother, Henry and furbrother, Murphy.
