Sangita joins us following her relocation from Auckland, New Zealand to Brisbane! With over 15 years of Physiotherapy experience along with post-graduate education in Sports Medicine, Sangita brings a vast depth of Physiotherapy knowledge to the Target Physio team. Her mantra as a Physiotherapist is removing your pain and working with you to be stronger, so your pain doesn’t return.
A homegrown Kiwi, Sangita commenced her Physiotherapy career in New Zealand and immersing herself in sports physiotherapy opportunities. Over the course of her already extensive career, Sangita has worked with professional pro wrestling athletes, Auckland’s professional cricket teams, local Auckland rowing clubs and even the NRL 9’s teams at the Auckland Rugby 9s tournament!
Sangita’s experience extends into all aspects of Physiotherapy; working in private practices, high schools, gym settings and aged care settings in New Zealand, before first relocating to Australia in 2011. During her earlier stint in Australia, Sangita worked at a number of private practices in North and Central Queensland, Western Australia, New South Wales and Victoria before venturing to the United Kingdom for a complete climate change! Sangita then worked in both private practice and hospital settings for a few years before returning home to New Zealand.
She joins Target Physio team member Tom Harris as a fellow hockey goalkeeper and has previously trained as a wrestler herself. A lover of coffee and cricket, Sangita enjoys keeping fit in the gym and practising callisthenics.
