Meet Local Physiotherapist Liam Woollett
Liam grew up in Bellbowrie and holds the Brisbane westside very close to his heart. He loves to stay active and developed a strong passion to help those in pain after suffering multiple chronic injuries himself. This experience has led him to understand what pain is like from the perspective of a patient, and how frustrating it can be to live with on a day-to-day basis. After overcoming these injuries, Liam completed an Exercise and Sport Science degree and then followed it up with a Physiotherapy degree. Liam has an interest in all things musculoskeletal and enjoys working with patients from any age or background, whether it’s a return to sport following an injury, or an episode of low back pain in an office worker.
Liam has played many sports across his life, mainly, soccer, cricket, swimming, and cycling. His true love, however, is long distance running, in which he has been selected in multiple representative teams across his career. You may have previously seen Liam running through Bellbowrie and Moggill in his pursuit of running on every street in each suburb.
Liam has been trained in running technique analysis and correction, running shoe selection for specific foot types, and running program prescription. He has previously led the cross country and middle-distance athletics programs at a western suburbs high school. Although he has experience working with runners, he has a love of all sports and can work with athletes from any sport or background.
Liam treats patients with the following dysfunctions and injuries:
Outside of work, Liam enjoys exploring nature and doing his best to keep the plants in his garden alive. He loves the gym, but more importantly, he loves to sauna after the gym.
