Meet Local Physiotherapist Joseph Herrmann
Originally from Ballina in New South Wales, Joe joins the Target Physio team bringing a depth of knowledge in Sports Physiotherapy, particularly in soccer. Having previously worked with semi-professional soccer teams across Brisbane (including the Roar Academy!) Joe has developed a strong passion for supporting athletes, of any level, through their injury prevention and rehabilitation. Joe has also worked with various basketball and rugby teams, assisting athletes to enhance the performance, manage their load and where necessary, rehabilitate injury.
Prior to his Physiotherapy days, Joe worked as a volunteer, providing care to children with intellectual and physical disability whilst abroad in Cambodia. These experiences in particular, contributed to his passion as a Physiotherapist to provide care, support and hope to each individual, regardless of their pain or injury. Joe enjoys working with people across the age spectrum; whether it be the 5 year old tearing up his first year on the soccer field or the 70 year old whose aim is to overcome knee pain to be able to play with their grandchildren, Joe enjoys developing rapport with his patients and supporting them to meet their goals.
Joseph treats patients with the following dysfunctions and injuries:
Outside of Physiotherapy, Joe enjoys playing team sports, including rugby union, cricket, basketball and even the occasional social netball. He’s an avid Wallabies supporter, loves watching the NBA and enjoys being out in nature.
