Currently completing his Masters of Sports & Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Alex Barnett, has a passion for Sports Physiotherapy and enjoys working with athletes of all ages in injury prevention and rehabilitation. Alex has a holistic approach to injury rehabilitation, believing that even with minor injuries, a whole body rehabilitation approach provides the optimum result to prevent recurrence and further injury.
Progressing clients right through their rehabilitation with an end goal of setting up an injury prevention program is a passion of Alex’s. Whether it be rehabilitation after an ACL repairment surgery or a rolled ankle at weekend sport, Alex enjoys working with clients, getting them back to their sporting goals.
Alex has designed our Sports Performance and Injury Prevention program or SPIP for short. The program is tailored to individual sports and the particular fitness components and movements required to perform each sport. Led by Alex Barnett, Target Physio offers SPIP programs to sporting and fitness clubs in the local communities.
A competitive soccer player himself, Alex is currently competing in the Queensland Premier League and coach’s junior teams on Saturday mornings. He’s also a bit creative – our Kenmore clinic’s mural was designed by Mr Alex, himself!
