Our physiotherapists strive to empower physical confidence in the aging population. Often fear of falling can restrict our daily movements and prevent us from doing the activities we love… this can be changed! Our balance training class is suited to people with:
- Parkinson’s Disease
- Falls risk
- General balance deterioration
We have a passion for Neurological Physiotherapy and often provides assistance for an over 50s strength and balance exercise class.
During this class series we will practice challenging functional activities within a safe environment, to improve your balance, dizziness and confidence with: stairs, walking on uneven ground or slopes, standing on one leg, head movements and fast changes in direction, and much more. All exercises are modified to meet your level of ability.
Try this 30 second test series to see if this class is for you*:
- Feet together eyes closed
- Heel toe standing eyes closed
- Single leg standing eyes open
*Make sure you are closely supervised by someone who is strong enough to support you if you fall or lose balance.
